Supervisor Herrity Attends NoVa Chamber Rebranding
On Tuesday, January 6th, 2016, the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce formally announced that it would be rebranding itself as the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. As a result of the rebranding, the Chamber hopes to represent itself as a more effective and representative voice for the region’s business.
Supervisor Herrity is currently a chamber member and formerly a member of the chamber’s board. On the chamber’s rebranding Supervisor Herrity stated, “I look forward to working with this board on solutions to make Fairfax County and the region a better place for all of us.”
The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce now has roughly 675 members, and the organization brought in about $3 million in revenue last year. The chamber will continue to maintain its priorities which include transportation, education, workforce, health-care, as well as many other needs in the area.
